The poster session at the Linguistic Society of America put a spotlight on practical applications of linguistics, one of which is helping an organization that certifies oive oil as "extra virgin" improve its application form.

After serious discussion about Document Design, we enjoyed tastes of 3 different olive oils.

• Frantoio is a single variety of olive. About half our orchards are Frantoio. We've been bottling Frantoio as its own taste since 2023.
• Our Field Blend combines all four varieties, the proportions recommended by our tasting consultant. We've been bottling Field Blend since 2016
• Limited Edition has three kinds of olives combined in 2024 proportions, as dictated by the amounts the trees produced. It doesn't include Frantoio.
